Durante questo incontro esploreremo e interrogheremo, con ricerche di prova, le risorse elettroniche che il Sistema bibliotecario di Ateneo mette a disposizione.
Approfondiremo, inoltre, le caratteristiche di alcune delle principali banche dati dei settori di arte e spettacolo e impareremo come si costruisce una buona ed efficace stringa di ricerca.

Understanding AI Literacy: Concepts, Challenges and Opportunities

Lectio magistralis – Master in Archivistica e Biblioteconomia
La Lectio Magistralis propone una definizione di IA literacy centrata sulla capacità di esercitare un giudizio responsabile in un contesto informativo dominato da risposte immediate e spesso non verificate. Partendo dal funzionamento predittivo dell’IA generativa e dai suoi errori strutturali, il testo mostra come la sfida principale non sia l’accesso agli strumenti ma la valutazione critica dei risultati. Attraverso dati di ricerca, casi di formazione e due framework operativi (CLEAR e CARE), l’autore sostiene che biblioteche, archivi e corsi di laurea in biblioteconomia e in archivistica abbiano un ruolo chiave nel formare professionisti capaci di integrare l’IA senza compromettere affidabilità, etica e responsabilità.

Slavery in Early Medieval Europe – Studies of an “Invisible” Phenomenon

What material traces can slavery leave in the archaeological record? And how can we identify on the ground a phenomenon primarily defined as a legal and social condition? Drawing on recent comparative analyses conducted by Prof. Błażej Stanisławski across a wide range of Eastern European sites, this paper reflects on the archaeological evidence of slavery in the Early Middle Ages, with particular attention to dynamics related to corporeality and the physical experience of enslavement. The comparative approach brings rural contexts and continental hubs into dialogue with the great imperial systems of the medieval Mediterranean, highlighting how forced mobility, control over bodies, and labour organisation may emerge indirectly through material evidence. The paper discusses both the limits and the potential of an archaeology of slavery capable of integrating written and iconographic sources, proposing new interpretative perspectives on the archaeology of personal dependency and unfree status in medieval societies.

Space, time and bodies: A conceptual and methodological spatialization of island identities

This seminar and workshop deal with island identities and the tension between the “locals” and the “newcomers”. We will discuss how identities are formed and spatialized, and how they are linked with places, spaces, and landscapes. The example of island identities will be used for two reasons: (a) islands are considered as special types of spaces both in terms of physical features and symbolic/imaginary qualities, while (b) they are ideal for understanding and spatializing the interactions of identity formation and negotiation for different groups in the same space. We will discuss processes of second home owners and touristification, gentrification and geriatrification, and how different age groups spatialize and imagine island landscapes. We will consider seasonality in these spatializations. We will also discuss methods for visualizing these differences, and we will explore together some of these processes on islands that participants will choose.

Casting, Stardom, and Celebrity in the Age of Streaming

This presentation explores Italian screen culture in light of casting, stardom, and celebrity in the age of streaming. Using Call My Agent - Italia as a point of departure, I will examine performance, acting, and embodiment across different production contexts, from emerging talent to more established screen traditions within the context of traditional performance culture and the rapidly changing circulation of Italian film and television today, focusing on how, and if, streaming affects the way audiences consume stars and celebrity as mediated representations.
